Here We Go...These past few years I've been wondering?: It is true, I have been more than fortunate to have experienced, incredible places, cultures, peoples. I would like to imagine a more authentic person I have become.
The wondering, what's next? After years of seeking the next adventure, the next assignment....
Well I do believe it is time to take this thing I have been indulging to a renewed level, laced with purpose and meaning, punctuated with seeds of potentially positive consequences.
As I reflect...(It is interesting)...Temper the expectations. Remain open to the possibilities. Be committed to the cause/s.
Seek the truth. Watch one's step. Recognize when the B'S is being flung. Count on it.
These realizations are proving to be the fodder, (fuel if you prefer) in which this venture has failed to elude yours truly.
This Journal will bring to the fore-front (Issues: initially focusing on Florida) which has been and continues to contend in regard to those factors which have impacted the (Lively Hoods/Quality of Life) for a significant population of these unique environments, what is little more than a strip of limestone covered via a layer of sand.

The Consequences Journal is destined to explore these not so distant realizations: Unbridled consumption. Trophy collecting mentality. Perceived Unlimited resources, Apparent disregard to the notion of potential environmental awareness. Not to offend but to educate, enlighten...to inspire.
Not merely "the way things used to be" while with the appropriate emphases on "the potential future" if we continue on what appears to be the path of applying periodic "band-aids" of debatable purpose.

Where there is hope...there are folks that have dedicated their energy, their resources, knowledge, efforts, their purpose, and most importantly...their life's works, in pursuit of realizing current, along with long term positive environmental outcomes.
Weathered Boards
This Journey will take us wherever and to whomever the calling is directed.
The Consequences Journal will initially be comprised as a series of video
interviews/stories, location productions, focusing on folks who's lives have been, and continue to be influenced via past along with foreseeable Environmental Factors.
Coupled with valuable time spent with: Those individuals that are working on the front lines, NGOs, Educators, Scientists, Environmental Experts, punctuated Via real life experiences of those that are reliant on a healthy: sustainable ecosystem for their livelihood.
Those finely focused characters who without hesitation do the door knocking on those elected persons charged with making choices which ultimately can and will insure the Natural World we all rely/cherish; will go beyond mere status quo to a place reminiscent of time past. Laced with the stories told via those fortunate to possess such precious memories coupled with insight into the work required to insure a future not so distant from those stories of the past.

Making Dents
Yepper, there are the chosen ones that are bellying up to the cause/s.
One crusty tire, one micro dot of plastic, one net full of life threatening algae. Folks that are totally invested in saving the future's environment.
Yes, there are certainly reasons to find ourselves optimistic.
